The winery is located in southern Wrattonbully, in South Australia, a premium appellation in Australia’s lauded Limestone Coast, midway on the inland route between Melbourne and Adelaide, on elevated tablelands, somewhat off the beaten track where we can focus on the business of growing premium wine grapes without distraction. Production levels were excellent, above long term averages and the mild \u0026amp; slow ripening conditions enabled strong varietal character to develop. Vintage was dry and the weather stable so fruit was harvested, at optimal flavour development and high natural acidity. A \"goldilocks\" vintage. The wine is aged in combination of new \u0026amp; seasoned French and American hogsheads for 24 months.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCassis, black currant with notes of black olive and vanillin. Luscious notes of cassis and black currant, accented by hints of black olives, vanillin and cedar. The mild days and cool nights in late February and early March aided in the final ripen creating strong varietal characters and crisp natural acids.
