The south and southeast facing position of the site quickly warms up during the day and cools significantly at night. Riesling thrives on this contrast. The soil is characterized by a special complexity and possesses elements that typically do not occur together. These are attributed to very active volcanic movements - carbon shale and at the same time volcanic porphyry.
