After cold pre-fermentative maceration for 24 hours, the fermentation took place at a controlled temperature in small 5 ton lagares, with treading and delestage.
This wine has an intense ruby color and complex aromas of wild berries, black plum, hints of dark chocolate, and balsamic and smoky notes. On the palate, it reveals the characteristic freshness of the highlands of Serra de São Mamede, with solid and firm, yet polished tannins, and a very long, powerful finish.
