BALOIRO Godello en Barrica

Godello made from several plots, where white grape varieties are interspersed within the red vineyard. It perfectly expresses Godello's great aging potential. After 1 year of oxidative aging and 8 years of reductive aging, it displays incredible intensity, complexity, and a long finish.

1300 bottles produced

Hand-harvested. Cold pre-fermentation skin maceration, gentle pressing and alcoholic fermentation in new 500-liter barrels. 12 months in contact with its lees in French oak barrels. 8 years in stainless steel tanks.

Intense aromas of ripe yellow apple, loquat and honeysuckle. All those years of ageing have given the wine an enormous complexity and richness with flavours of apricot marmelade and toast. This mature Godello concludes with a fresh and lingering finish.
