Blanco Arabako Txakolina

ARTOMAÑA (Arrastaria Valley - Álava). Handling of own vineyards based on a winegrowing of minimum and reasoned intervention. Vineyards are located at a parcel sited in Artomaña (Arrastaria Valley). Soils are semi-deep and of alluvial nature with a climatology between Atlantic and Continental, depending on the vintage.

Trellis system. Double guyot. Altitude: 330 meters.

100% hand-operated in boxes of 7 kgs. Pressed in a low-performance pneumatic horizontal press (58% Max). Fermented in 2.000 l and 5.000 l stainless steel tank. Aging on fine lees for 6 months.

Pale yellow colour with greenish reflections typical of the wine`s youth. Clean and bright, with a good tear showing in the glass. On the nose it offers a medium-high aromatic intensity where fresh aromas of white fruits (apple, pear), delicate floral notes (flowering tree) and herbal hints of chamomile stand out. Subtle citrus nuances (lemon) and a mineral background typical of the variety in the location are also perceived. In the mouth, it is enveloping and dense, with a structured body and a notable finesse provided by the fine lees in the tank. It offers a vibrant fruity attack followed by a well-integrated acidity that reinforces the citrus sensations towards the end. Long and elegant persistence. A balanced wine with character.
