[Style/Color: Red] [Dryness: Dry]
[Variety: Cabernet Franc]
A hot and relatively dry summer; the ideal growing season. Perfect conditions for later ripening varieties. Narrow picking windows were the story of the vintage, requiring attentiveness, patience and agility in the vineyard.
After fermentation, the wine was aged 17 months in new (14%) and neutral French and American oak barriques.
Savoury aromas of Herbes de Provence fill the nose giving way to notes of early cherries and cocoa nib. Ripe wild blueberries burst on the palate and are complemented by tart raspberry; finishing with the spice and personality you expect from ripe Ontario Cabernet Franc.
