A mass selection carried out by the estate, planted in 1974, single Guyot pruning (8 buds instead of 10), Pinot Blanc Vrai from Géande.
Harvested entirely by hand in successive passes according to optimal ripeness, with careful sorting carried out in the vineyard. The grapes are transported immediately to the winery in small perforated boxes to preserve their quality. After manual sorting and total destemming, the must is transferred by gravity, followed by a 72-hour maceration including a 24-hour cold soak prior to fermentation. Vinification includes light sulphiting, the use of selected yeasts, and natural malolactic fermentation, with gentle filtration after cold stabilisation. The wine is then aged on its lees for an average of 36 months before disgorgement with a low dosage, preserving its purity and precision.
Clear and bright ruby red in colour. The nose is expressive and winey, offering ripe red berries, wild berries and delicate floral notes of violet. On the palate, it is supple and generous, with a smooth, gourmet texture that coats the mouth, supported by well-integrated structure. The flavours persist through a long, lingering finish. Already highly enjoyable, it also has the depth and balance to reward cellaring for up to twenty years.
