VOM VULKAN Riesling Trocken

The Gut Hermannsberg "Vom Vulkan" is a complex wine with an expressive origin. The grapes for this VDP.Ortswein come exclusively from the VDP.GROSSE LAGE® Schlossböckelheimer Kupfergrube, sourced from 10 to 30-year-old vines.

After selective hand harvesting and a short maceration period, spontaneous fermentation takes place, partially in stainless steel tanks and partially in traditional oak barrels. 

On the nose, smoky aromas reminiscent of flint are evident, accompanied by subtle reduction and spice. The fine tannins contribute to a full and dense mouthfeel, perfectly balanced by a delicate acidity structure. A puristic wine, it presents itself with a certain salinity and a long, dry finish.
