[Style/Color: Red] [Dryness: Dry]
[Variety: Syrah/Shiraz]
A hot and relatively dry summer; the ideal growing season. Perfect conditions for later ripening varieties. Narrow picking windows were the story of the vintage, requiring attentiveness, patience and agility in the vineyard.
Post fermentation the wine was gently pressed off its skins and aged 15 months in French and American oak (11% new).
Intensely aromatic, this wine delivers fresh cracked peppercorns, cherry cola and blackberry, followed by hints of leather and dry cedar. The palate is punctuated by lively acidity lifting black fruits, boysenberry while touches of licorice and ground black pepper linger on the lengthy finish.
