Bernkasteler Doctor Riesling Auslese

The legendary Bernkasteler Doctor vineyard rises steeply above Bernkastel at an altitude of 125 to 200 meters above sea level. According to legend, it received its name from Archbishop Boemund II, who, cured of a serious illness, referred to this site as the "true Doctor." Internationally, Doctor wines consistently rank among the very best. At 3.26 hectares, it is one of the smallest single vineyards in Germany.

Juicy, powerful, and full of structure, it displays a cool elegance despite its intensity. Aromas of ripe yellow tropical fruits, dried mango, and a hint of fresh herbs unfold in the glass, culminating in an exceptionally long finish.
