Whiskey Barreled Cabernet Sauvignon

A hot and relatively dry summer; the ideal growing season. Perfect conditions for later ripening varieties. Narrow picking windows were the story of the vintage, requiring attentiveness, patience and agility in the vineyard.

Barreled aged for 10 months in American and French oak barrels, then aged for 6 months in Pike Creek Whisky barrels.

You are delighted by aromas of dark fruit, mixed nuts, graphite, & cassis to start. The palate is equally dyamic with notes of blueberry pie, cardamom, chai tea & all spice.
